RARC N290: Missing or Invalid Rendering Provider Identifier

What This Means

The claim is missing, has incomplete, or contains an invalid primary identifier (usually NPI) for the rendering provider who performed the service. The payer cannot process the claim without a valid rendering provider NPI. Verify the rendering provider's NPI is correct and active, ensure it is properly linked to the billing provider in the payer's system, and resubmit the claim.
